Please note that export instructions may differ slightly between versions
of a circulation system. If you are unable to export your records using
these instructions, please refer to your circulation system's Help
section, your System Administrator, or call your circulation system’s support line.

- Log in to your goalexandria.com site
- If you are the District Administrator, your login credentials will provide automatic access to all library sites, including all (union) MARC data
- If you are a Site librarian, your login credentials automatically allow you to export only your library's MARC records
- Open Alexandria to the Circulation window. You can access the Circulation window directly by going to https://yourlibraryname.goalexandria.com/circulation
- Click Tools
- Click Export
- Select Export Items, Title Based
- In the Selections tab
- For Title with a Policy of, select Any Policy
- For Titles with a Medium of, select Any Medium
- Click Options tab and set the following:
- For Sort Titles by, select Title Call Number
- For Format, select MARC
- For Header, select Alexandria Header
- Click Run
- Operation Management window will appear. (If the Operations Management window does not automatically appear, click the Wrench icon)
- Export Items, Title Based Completed message will appear
- Click icon to download records
- If your library site(s) are hosted by COMPanion, your records will be downloaded to your default web download file folder on your computer and named: Export Items, Title Based.txt
- If your library is self-hosted, your file will be placed on your hard drive location and named: Export Items, Title Based.txt
- Windows: C:\ProgramData\Alexandria Support
- Macintosh: \Users\Shared\Library\Application Support\Alexandria Support
Alexandria - Mac Format
Go to Cataloging application to export your MARC records:
- Go to File
- Choose Utilities
- Choose Export Item
- Choose format (MARC)
- Run
